Accommodation in Heidelberg

Dear participants of the annual meeting of the Slavic Linguistics Society,

As Heidelberg is a major tourist destination and several events will take place in early September 2015, accommodation is rather expensive and hotels may be fully booked quite early. Therefore we have pre-reserved a number of hotel rooms for you until 15th April 2015. Please make sure to book your room by that date (depending on the hotel, the deadline may be a bit later, for further details see below).

Early booking is strongly recommended.

The conference venue is Neue Universität/New University (address: Universitätsplatz/University Square, 69117 Heidelberg).

Guests of our institute have often stayed at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten and the associated hotels and were quite satisfied. It is not far from the conference venue.

2) A contingent of 8 rooms has been reserved at the Hotel am Kornmarkt. This small hotel is also near the conference venue. Prices range from 82.50 to 115 Euro for a single room.

4) A contingent of 40 rooms has been pre-reserved at the Hotel Chester (SRH Guesthouse, renovated and upgraded to a 4* hotel). This hotel is about 1.8 km away from the main railway station and about 6 km from the conference venue, but can be easily reached by bus or tram.

Cancellation policies

In most of the hotels you can cancel your booking free of charge at least 48 hours before the day of arrival. However, as the cancellation policies of the hotels differ, it is advisable to check this before booking. If you have any questions regarding the cancellation policy of a particular hotel we will be glad to help you.
